Abstract

This memoir and history sets in the context of the mental health consumer/survivor movement and my own life my Internet advocacy for and with people who experience mood swings, fear, voices and visions (People Who). Through a short story, a poem, and a bit of narrative, I locate myself in the self-help movement and describe my path from a person with a prognosis of persistent deterioration to a key Person Who on the Internet. I describe how I came to start and maintain a series of Internet resources and how they have developed. I conclude with some reflections about the current social climate affecting people with psychiatric diagnoses and about my own growth and next directions. A glossary, bibliography and appendix provide some documentation.
